I am a proud Yorta Yorta man who grew up in Echuca with strong family and community connections across the Goulburn Murray region and strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups throughout Victoria and southern NSW.
I am nominating for the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria because I want to help ensure Treaty delivers real, practical outcomes for our people – grounded in culture, community authority, and self-determination. In my work across regional development, education and community organisations, I have helped bring governments, industry and community together to deliver projects that respond to what our families actually need, while managing risk, governance and accountability.
My aspiration for Treaty is clear: it must shift power and resources back to First Peoples, protect culture and Country, and create lasting pathways in education, employment, housing, health and justice. Treaty should strengthen our local decision-making, back our community-controlled organisations, and set a new standard of truth, respect and shared prosperity for future generations.
