Cabbe melemung-il! (Hello.)
I am a proud Kulin (man.) with Wurundjeri, Dja Dja Wurrung, Bidwell, Gunai/Kurnai, Ngurai Illum Wurrung, Taungurung, Waywurru, Barapa Barapa and Wemba Wemba ancestral bloodlines. I descend from a long line of respected leaders across Victoria and carry that legacy with responsibility and pride.
I was born and raised in the Dandenong area, I have remained connected to community and cultural services throughout my life – both as a client and as a provider. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the systemic challenges our people face and inspired me to seek structural reform and long-term change grounded in our sovereign Lore, which we have upheld since time immemorial.
I bring experience as a researcher, linguist, songman, mentor and cultural heritage field worker. In 2021, I founded Bandok Tati, which I have led for five years, working closely with Aboriginal young people to strengthen language, culture and leadership. I am ready to stand as part of the next generation of Treaty warriors — grounded in our Lore, guided by knowledge and experience, and committed to listening to all voices so that Treaty reflects what our people truly want and need.
Ngoon Godjin Warr. (Thank you.)
