Aaron Simmler

Candidate for the

I am nominating for the Treaty Assembly because I believe in the generational change it will bring.

I am not coming in pretending to have all the answers. My priority is to LISTEN properly, sit with Mob on Country, and make sure that what you say is not just noted, but ACTED ON. Treaty must reflect the true priorities of each community and the responsibility we all hold, to Care for Country.

I bring over 20 years of professional and trade experience delivering complex infrastructure and community projects across Victoria and wider Australia, alongside long-standing community leadership and volunteer roles. This experience means I know how to work through systems, keep organisations accountable and turn commitments into real outcomes. It also means I understand that the Treaty progress only happens when community lead the conversation.

Treaty is not about small steps and open promises. It is about practical change for Mob in housing, health, education, economic opportunity, and the protection of Country and Culture.

I will listen, I will be honest, and I will work hard to make sure community voices drive every decision. Treaty is a serious responsibility, and I am ready to help do the work.
