Tallara Kelly-O’Brien

Candidate for the
Wamba Wamba, Mutthi Mutthi

My name is Tallara Kelly-O’Brien. I am a proud Wamba Wamba and Mutthi Mutthi woman with strong cultural ties and connections along the Murray River. I am a proud mum of one, a hardworking and active community member, and someone who comes from grassroots in the North West.

I am standing as a candidate for the First People’s Assembly because I believe in self-determination, truth-telling and strong regional representation. Our voices must shape our future, and our mob in the North West deserve to be central in Treaty conversations.

I bring extensive experience in community engagement, particularly working alongside mob in regional areas. I understand the unique challenges our communities face including access to services, employment opportunities and supports. I believe solutions must be community-led, practical and focused on long-term impact for future generations.

I have a strong understanding of the responsibilities of this role and the importance of integrity, accountability and transparency.

If elected, I commit to ongoing engagement with community and regular feedback,  ensuring our people remain informed and involved in the decisions that affect them.

I will continue to be committed to grassroots leadership and delivering real outcomes on the ground.
