Tracey Evans

Candidate for the
Gunditjmara, Bundjalung

As a custodian of my bloodlines- Gunditjmara/ Bundjalung (Roach/ Austin) – I’ve been raised strong culturally by my dear mother Myrtle and Uncle Archie.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri for blessing me with their beautiful country where I work and live.

I will always elevate the voices of our stolen generation and the forgotten voices of our people in prison. You are my people, you all matter, I hear you and you all belong.

It’s with pride and honour that I am standing to be re-elected. I have been a member of the assembly since 2019.

I’m an experienced leader with lived experience of growing up in social housing in Collingwood. I will fight hard for my people even if I’m standing alone. Having worked over 30 years in government I am well placed to advance the work of Gellung Warl into future treaty negotiations.

Protection For Country, mental health for our young ones and soldier settlement are my number one priorities.

I will bring resilience, strength and power as your member. As a deep thinker I will listen deeply to our elders and youth with blue sky thinking guiding the path. I stand in solidarity with my people now and forever.
