I am standing as a candidate because I want our communities to feel the real difference Treaty can make in our everyday lives, not just in long reports, community forums, or through our screens, but in our homes, schools, organisations, and on our streets.
Having worked as a journalist covering Indigenous affairs, I’ve sat in political rooms and seen firsthand how systems operate and how decisions made without us can have a devastating impact on our people, culture, lands, and waters.
I know I’m walking a path paved by those before me who fought when it was hard, unpopular, and unsafe to do so. I carry that work with respect and gratitude, knowing this moment belongs to all of us, young, old, and everyone in between, not just those on the ballot.
If elected, I am committed to showing up, listening deeply, speaking directly, and honestly.
Treaty isn’t the finish line; it’s the start of a new way of governing, where First Peoples’ voices have real power to shift the way we do our business in this country.
With new voices come new visions. Treaty is our shared future and responsibility, and I’m ready to help build it with you.
