I am a proud Wotjobaluk man born in Horsham and raised on country throughout the Wimmera region. I have strong connections to my family, Elders and community, who have guided me in understanding my cultural responsibilities and the importance of self-determination. My cultural and kinship ties shape who I am and ground my commitment to listening, learning and acting in the best interests of our people.
I am seeking election to the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria because I believe Treaty is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create lasting structural change. Our communities deserve a voice that is strong, accountable and community led. I want to contribute to a process that honours our Elders, empowers our young people and ensures decisions about our future are made by us.
My aspiration for Treaty is that it delivers truth, justice and real outcomes – including strengthened self-governance, protection of culture and Country, and improved social and economic opportunities for our people. Treaty must reflect our diversity while uniting us in shared purpose. I am committed to working respectfully and tirelessly to help secure a fair and powerful future for First Peoples in Victoria.
