I’m a proud Gunditjmara and Yorta Yorta Woman, nominating for an elected seat on the First Peoples Assembly. After burying Mum in 2024 I became the matriarch of our family, standing proud as Nancy King’s Granddaughter, Maria Galea and Ian Brigg’s Daughter, a mother of two Boorai’s.

I’m not here to simply “take what is given” I’m here to continue to ask questions and dig deeper for better outcomes when it comes to holding the Government accountable while supporting the decision-making arm of Gellung Warl.

I stand strong in being a voice that represents the Stolen Generation. Nan was taken from Country, leading to her children taken, then myself and my 3 siblings being taken from Mum and separated from each other. We all grew up in separate foster homes as a ward of the state.

If elected, I will continue to share my story, advocating for our kids in care, in support of Nyerna Yoorrook Telkuna, a First Peoples truth-telling mechanism that will build on the work of the Yoorrook Justice Commission.

I support the hard work of the Statewide Treaty including Nginma Ngainga Wara, together monitoring the performance of State Government to achieve better outcomes for our people.
