Michael Mookeye Bell

I’m a Gunditjmara/Boandik Man from the South West in Victoria and live in Heywood with my family and community. Over the past 35 years has seen me contributed on a local, regional , statewide level on matter that impact all First Nation People in the South West.

I’ve been elected on the first two terms of the First Peoples Assembly of Victoria, that seen the first Statewide Treaty Negotiated. I’m seeking your support to be elected onto Gellung Warl, to bring my experience into the implementation of Gellung Warl.

My experience will support the implementation of Nginma Ngainga Warl (Accountability) and Nyerna Yoorook Telkuna (Ongoing Truth Telling), as negotiated in the Gellung Warl. I’m also keen to promote the positive contributions that First Nation People make to this region and state.

I support the opportunities that that our leadership is a result of a democratic outcome, as we all have the right to nominate and give our mobs the opportunity to vote in their leaders.
